Macklynn Digital is based in British Columbia and handles personal information in line with BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL). In plain language, here's what we do.
What we collect
When you request a free preview, we collect what you give us: your name, business name, phone number, email (if provided), trade, service area, any links you share and any notes you write. If you use our calculator, we also record the estimate it showed you, so we understand your situation before we call.
How we use it
- To build your free website preview
- To contact you by phone, text or email about your preview and our services
- To provide services if you become a client
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers that help us run the business (for example, our website host and form provider), and only for those purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Just reply "stop" to a text, tell us on a call, or email us. You can also ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
How long we keep it
If you don't become a client, we delete your preview request information within 12 months. Client information is kept for as long as we work together and as required for tax and business records afterward.
